This graph displays the cumulative uptake of at least one vaccine dose of any vaccine product, regardless of the dosing schedule, and is calculated as follows: number of first doses cumulatively administered by age group divided by the country population for the specific age group in reporting countries. For vaccine products that have a one dose vaccination course, the first dose will be the only one administered. The uptake is expressed as percentage (%). Population denominators for age-specific populations are obtained from Eurostat/UN. Countries reporting data by age groups in adults may differ from those reporting data in under 18.
This graph displays the cumulative uptake of full vaccination that is calculated as follows: number of full vaccinations cumulatively administered to individuals by age group divided by the country population for the specific age group in reporting countries. The uptake is expressed as percentage (%). Full vaccination is defined according to the instructions of the manufacturer for each vaccine product. Population denominators for age-specific populations are obtained from Eurostat/UN. Countries reporting data by age groups in adults may differ from those reporting data in under 18.
This graph displays the cumulative uptake of an additional vaccine dose that is calculated as follows: number of additional doses cumulatively administered to individuals by age group divided by the country population for the specific age group in reporting countries. The uptake is expressed as percentage (%). See definition of additional doses below. Population denominators for age-specific populations are obtained from Eurostat/UN. Countries reporting data by age groups in adults may differ from those reporting data in under 18.
The number of first doses administered refers only to the total number of vaccine doses administered as first dose of 2-dose vaccination course products. It is displayed as cumulative.
The number of full vaccinations administered refers to the total number of vaccine doses administered both as second dose of 2-dose vaccination course products, as well as first dose of single dose vaccination course products (e.g. Janssen). It is displayed as cumulative.
The number of additional doses administered is cumulative and it refers to vaccine doses either administered as an extension of the primary series (e.g. in immunocompromised individuals) or as a booster dose in already fully vaccinated individuals.
Discrepancies with figures from national reports may be explained by different data reporting pace and timing of the data presented in the Vaccine Tracker. Please, refer to Notes on the data tab for additional information on data reporting and data interpretation.
